Charles Grant is a Charleston-based vocalist whose rich tone and heartfelt delivery have made him a standout presence in the local music scene. A regular performer at Forte Jazz Lounge, Charles captivates audiences with a smooth, classic style rooted in old school R&B and smooth jazz — genres that perfectly showcase his soulful voice and timeless sound.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Charles spent much of his professional career in manufacturing. After retirement, he embraced the opportunity to fully pursue his lifelong dream of singing, turning it into a vibrant and fulfilling second chapter. He has had the honor of performing the national anthem at venues and sporting events throughout Charleston, including appearances with the South Carolina Stingrays, the Charleston RiverDogs, and events associated with the Volvo Car Open.
In addition to his live performances, Charles has recorded several beloved classics, including "Wonderful Tonight," "Sailing," "You Are My Everything," and "Body and Soul." With each performance, Charles Grant brings authenticity, warmth, and a deep appreciation for the art of music — proving that it's never too late to live your dream.
